The hubs and I purchased helmets for the first time last snowboarding season and I wanted something to cover up the ugly of the helmet but also fit over the helmet. I found these and purchased two in case one got wet/gross from mouth breathing into it day after day while vacationing in Summit County. I loved it! It fit perfectly over my helmet, kept my ears, neck and face warm and it also didn't get yucky from my outbreath like some other neck gator products I've owned.

I got this for a weekend camping trip that I knew was going to hover around freezing temps, and I AM SO GLAD I DID. (Yes, in all caps.)I got it on a whim because it looked really soft (it is!), but also ordered a traditional hat/neck scarf/glove set with the assumption that I'd probably end up needing it. Nope. I didn't take this off from Friday afternoon when I set up until late Sunday morning when I got in the car to drive home, and I didn't end up needing either a hat or neck warmer with OR instead of this. I slept in it. I ate in it. I took the hood down when I got warm, and pulled my sweatshirt hood up when the wind picked up. Did I look ridiculous? Maybe. Did I care? Not one single bit, because I was warrrrrm! I really liked that it tucked into my sweatshirt, which prevented gaps and kept me snuggly. (And in case I wasn't clear enough, this thing is so soft. It feels like you have a stuffed animal hugging your head, but not in a suffocating way. I love it!!)The temperature stayed between 30 and 45 for most of the weekend and dropped when the sun went down. This was the perfect thickness and material to keep me warm without needing extra layers. (I had on thermal pants/top, jeans, and a t-shirt under a sweatshirt, and, other than gloves, this thing on my head kept me warm. I'm shocked, to be honest - I am always cold and I expected this weekend to be miserable). I also slept with it on in my hammock, which was nice because I usually end up wiggling out of my hat in my sleep during cold weather trips and wake up because I'm freezing. This sucker didn't budget. I had over-ear headphones on underneath it (to block out the snoring of other campers...), so it was a little snug, but not uncomfortable at all.My only two complaints are: I thought the mouth/nose piece would go up higher (like a traditional balaclava), but at the end of the day, that wasn't even worth taking a start off because it covered my chin and mouth if I needed it to, and over my nose would've been too warm anyway. And my other complaint is just that my hair was a hot mess after three days in this thing, but I'm pretty sure that would've applied to wearing a regular hat, too.For this price, if you're thinking about it: definitely get it. I had three people ask where I got it this weekend, and it's SO affordable for the amount of warmth it provided.

I got this to go ATV riding. I love that I can wear as hood or pull down as scarf. The flap to cover nose & mouth is fantastic. I think I need another one. Great buy.

I am a snow boarder and I use sherpa hood at night to help me sleep! This one seemed soft and it works perfect because I don’t like my ears exposed to our fan in our room. This is great and such a cute leopard pattern!
